Volunteer Opportunity

Are you over the age of 55 and interested in being part of a fun, free opportunity to mentor and connect with college students via Zoom? We would love to talk to you!

A new Intergenerational Virtual Chat Group will be starting on Friday, May 7th, giving older and younger adults the chance to engage in facilitated discussions on a variety of interesting topics.

This effort is being spearheaded by Carrefour Companions, an organization formed by Olivia, a current UCSD student, and Morgan, a UCSD graduate. They are on a mission to support older adults in our community through innovative, interpersonal connections.

This upcoming set of chat group sessions will run every Friday from May 7th to May 28th from 1 – 2 PM with an optional fifth session on Friday, June 4th. Attendees are encouraged to attend all sessions, but it’s ok if you need to miss one or two. We would just love to have you join the fun!

If you have any questions and/or are interested in participating in these chat group sessions, please contact Morgan Montoya, Carrefour Companions carrefourcompanions@gmail.com.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to connect across the generations!
